“Light Upcycled Art for All” brings you a unique Christmas: Nina Mall organises fun-filled Upcycling and Sustainability Concepts Workshops
A seven-metre-tall upcycled light decoration in the shape of a Christmas tree, “Nina Mall 1 Christmas Decoration”, has been unveiled in the Atrium of Nina Mall 1, lighting up Chinachem Group’s (the Group) flagship shopping centre, as part of the Group’s “Light Upcycled Art-for-All” Christmas public art programme. The Group is also organising a series of environmentally-friendly and art-themed workshops during December in Nina Mall. Participants have a chance to be their own masterminds of their Christmas and New Year decorations, adding festive elements to their homes while gaining a better understanding of environmental sustainability issues. A superb line-up of international cuisine outlets is opening in Nina Mall this month as well. With all these exciting openings and artistic campaigns, Nina Mall hopes to give everyone an exclusive and unique Christmas experience. Apart from the workshops and light decoration, “Light Upcycled Art for All” includes a citywide light bulb collection campaign and the “Wish to be – Renaissance of Used Lights" upcycled art exhibition.
Nina Mall 1 Christmas Decoration
The “Christmas tree” is constructed from a series of festive themed glass boxes containing used items, including ornaments made from plastic bottles, used bottle caps, used books, cans and balls of yarn that will be donated to charity or recycled after the Christmas season. The LED wall on the outside of the installation will project festive images, completing the holiday atmosphere for shoppers. A large shiny star sits atop the Christmas tree, adding some traditional Christmas elements to this light decoration. Below the boxes, an installation with mirrors and bulbs immerses visitors in an inviting 360° multicolour light experience. A magical Christmas world is just one-step away.
Fun-filled Lighting Up Christmas Workshops
In addition to the upcycled light decoration, Nina Mall is organising a number of themed “Lighting Up Christmas workshops” for the public, who can participate in these workshops on specific dates this December. Offering fun contents and creative activities, the workshops are aimed at promoting the concept of upcycling and sustainability. Upon same-day electronic spending of over HK$400 at Nina Mall during the promotion period, customers are entitled to redeem a Lighting Up Christmas Workshop entrance ticket. Payment must be made by credit card, EPS, Octopus, Alipay, Wechat Pay, Tap & Go, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay.
Apart from the Lighting Up Christmas Workshops, two Santa Balloon Twisting programmes will be held on Christmas Day (December 25) and Boxing Day (December 26), at which customers can bring a Santa Claus balloon home to brighten up their holidays. L’Hotel will also host Santa Hat Gingerbread Cookie Baking Class on weekends in December where families can learn how to make selected traditional Christmas goodies to celebrate the festive season. Cooking classes discounts are available for early-bird registration and members of Vivva.
