Thrive Beyond Time: Ageless Green Fashion Design Contest
One by one, fashion pieces crafted from recycled materials came to life amid the laughter ringing through all 12 Pine Care homes. Simple materials, yet filled with the elderly’s creativity and heartfelt thought, revealed their passion for life and enthusiastic involvement.
We see active ageing in practice in these moments. In the face of Hong Kong’s ageing population, Chinachem Group remains committed to enhancing elderly living — enabling the elderly to stay connected with the community and continue leading meaningful lives, even after retirement.
Creating Sustainable Green Fashion Across Generations
The Ageless Green Fashion Design was an inter-home activity jointly organised by Pine Care social workers, bringing together staff, elderly residents, family members and visiting children. Every discarded items – such as red-white-blue plastic bags, curtain fabric, bubble wrap, red packets and old magazines – were transformed into unique eco-fashion pieces.
