    Sustainability is a shared goal that can only be achieved when we come together as a collective force for change. We must think creatively about how we can work together for a greater impact and better benefit. Partnerships should be diverse but harmonious, flexible and adaptive with a commitment to shared values. The secret ingredient for making partnerships truly successful is heart.

    Summary of the Presentation:

    The government of HKSAR is committed to implementing preventive measures and exploring new technologies to mitigate the impact of extreme weather. Projects in the Northern Metropolis and the Kau Yi Chau Artificial Islands will apply new technologies to Hong Kong to achieve carbon neutrality before 2050. Collaboration and embracing new ideas and technologies are essential for a sustainable future in Hong Kong.

  • Summary of the Presentation:

    Buildings account for 40% of global carbon emissions and 50% of extracted materials, underscoring the pressing need to tackle climate change. The World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) is spearheading global efforts for sustainable buildings, focusing on climate action, resource and circularity, and health and equity. There is widespread consensus among Green Building Councils globally regarding the necessity to update/build policies. At COP28, the Buildings Breakthrough will be unveiled, aiming for "Near-zero emission and resilient buildings as the new normal by 2030." WorldGBC encourages everyone to amplify this confident message within governments and showcase the existing solutions.
