Chinachem Advocates Social Harmony
03 March 2018
In another example of its commitment to social harmony, Chinachem has, for the fifth year, sponsored the Run for Brightness, organised by the Hong Kong Blind Sports Federation (HKBSF).
More than 1300 people and 50 visually impaired athletes competed in the races, truly capturing the concept of equal participation. Mr. Joseph Leung, Senior Consultant of Chinachem, attended the event kick-off ceremony and presented the Group's donation of $400,000 to the HKBSF. Twelve Chinachem volunteers also formed a team for the corporations/organisations 3-km race.
This is the first distance run organised outside of the sports ground and was held at Pak Shek Kok Promenade on 27 May. The HKBSF aims to promote the spirit and core values promulgated by the United Nations Convention on the Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities, to achieve a society built on equality and communion.
