Chinachem Group is committed to creating a better community – one where people can live well, and where future generations grow up in environments that are inclusive and caring.

The Chinachem Volunteers is an extension of this commitment. Through diverse volunteer activities, we encourage colleagues to step beyond the workplace and engage with the community in the spirit of Care, Contribute and Grow, working together to build a better city.

Care — Reaching Out with Empathy

Care begins with understanding. We encourage colleagues to listen closely and recognise the stories behind every person we meet. When we connect with sincerity, even the smallest interactions can bring warmth to someone’s day, and often become the first step towards meaningful, positive change.

Good Times on Wheels - CCG Community Inclusion Day

In collaboration with The Project Futurus, colleagues joined a workshop where inclusion ambassadors guided them through tasting “soft meals” and experiencing the perspectives of both caregivers and care recipients. This simple yet insightful activity helped colleagues appreciate the challenges faced by caregivers and people with swallowing difficulties (dysphagia), fostering greater empathy and connection.

Contribute — Making a Difference Together

Contribute represents shaping a better tomorrow together with the community. It goes beyond volunteering by mobilising the collective strength of the business sector, community groups and partners to drive long‑term change. Through collaboration, we gain a fuller understanding of diverse social needs, support one another through service, and grow together. This spirit creates a powerful synergy that enables more meaningful impact for the community.

During the workshop, inclusion ambassadors also taught colleagues balloon twisting skills and simple magic tricks, while sharing their experiences of supporting the people with disabilities. These sincere exchanges not only equipped colleagues with practical skills, but also deepened their understanding of the needs of people with different abilities, helping them to better prepare for their upcoming visits to the care homes.

Grow — A Journey of Giving and Receiving

Volunteering is a shared journey where everyone grows together. When we step into different groups and listen to their stories, we often gain new perspectives and insights. These experiences stay with us beyond the moment of service, and shape how we relate to others with greater empathy, patience and appreciation. By walking alongside the community, we grow not only as volunteers, but also as individuals.

CCG “Hearts in Community” – Elderly Home Visit

With their new acquired skills, colleagues visited several Pine Care elderly homes, spending meaningful time with residents through conversations, games and handmade balloon gifts. These genuine moments of connection deepened their understanding of what service truly means and inspired them to continue spreading warmth to the community.
