Placemaking at Heart, Fostering Well being and Intergenerational Connection

Presented by Chinachem Group, organised by Bay Pickle, and co-organised by D·PARK, the CCG Pickleball Challenge 2026 — a large-scale pickleball tournament — will take place from 3 to 12 April at D·PARK in Tsuen Wan.

The event reflects the Group’s commitment to placemaking, transforming extensive mall space into a vibrant sports arena where people of all ages can stay active, have fun and connect through one of the world’s fastest-growing sports.

Featuring multiple age groups and competition levels, the tournament welcomes participants ranging from children aged under 8 to seniors aged 60 and above, highlighting the Group’s dedication to fostering community connection and well-being through accessible activities.

  • An Accessible Sport for All

    Pickleball was chosen for its accessibility across different fitness levels. With simple rules, minimal equipment and less strain on the joints, it is easy for people of all ages and abilities to get started, making it an ideal entry point for building an exercise habit.

  • Grand Prize Experience

    The champions of the Women’s Singles and Men’s Singles in the Open Division will each receive a Kuala Lumpur Grand Prize Experience valued at HKD12,000. This four day pickleball exchange trip to Malaysia includes training sessions with certified coaches at top tier facilities, as well as friendly matches with leading local players.

  • Pickleball Carnival 

    A pickleball carnival will run from 3 to 12 April  featuring DIY workshops, themed game booths and photo spots for families, children and pickleball enthusiasts to experience the sport’s fun and social spirit. 

  • Ongoing Placemaking

    Building on the Chinachem Tsuen Wan Games, the Group reconnects a growing community of sports enthusiasts through this large scale pickleball tournament. Following the event, additional mall space will be made available for pickleball play, while the Group’s membership rewards programme, CCG Hearts, will continue to offer free pickleball trial classes, gradually integrating sport into everyday community life.

    Looking ahead, the Group will further strengthen D·PARK’s “Playground for All” role — positioning it not only as a shopping destination, but also as a place where the community comes together to create shared memories and meaningful connections.
