Upholding its commitment to sustainable development, Chinachem Group once again participated in the global observance of Earth Hour on the 24th of March. This year, 16 commercial buildings managed by Together Management and Sources Fame Management, as well as five hotels in L’ Hotel Group turned off their lights for one hour to show their support for environmental protection.

Earth Hour, which has been organised by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) since 2007, is a worldwide movement calling on people to turn off their lights for one hour on the last Saturday of March. Through this simple act, millions of people show their support for protecting the environment and stopping climate change. Participating households and commercial buildings turned off their nonessential lights and electrical appliances at 8:30 pm local time.

Climate change has already had a significant impact on wildlife around the globe. Species extinction and global warming continue to be threats to bio-diversity. This year, to raise awareness and educate the public about bio-diversity, the theme of the campaign is “Let nature shine.”
