A typical workday of mine begins with a stunning view over Tsuen Wan as soon as I enter the office area. The lively atmosphere of the lobby – or Social Hub as we call it – works well to beat my morning fatigue. Getting a cup of Double Espresso helps spark my energy for a full day’s work.
All Social Hubs (35/F to 38/F) give a spectacular view over Tsuen Wan and feature a well-equipped pantry and spacious social area.
A typical in the office
9:00 AM - Since Covid hit the city, washing my hands before settling down at the workstation has become my morning ritual. Most doors at the office, including the washroom doors, are automatic. The contactless access system puts my mind at ease.
-
10:30 AM - The division meeting starts. As everything has gone paperless, what I need is just my laptop. We simply connect to the wireless network to share information.
-
2:30 PM - Feeling full after lunch? Why not stand for a while? Many colleagues are in sync with me.
-
3:30 PM - About to have a conference call with business partners on an upcoming property project. Confidentiality is protected as I can do it at a phone booth with my softphone.
-
4:30 PM - Time for a short break before the next meeting. Why not have a bag of nuts? Leisure amenities on 35/F include a snooker table and video games, allowing us to unwind a bit amid busy work schedules.
-
5:30 PM - The vibrant Lounge overlooking Rambler Channel is the best place to update my colleagues from another division on the progress of the conference call with a cup of coffee or a glass of orange juice.
-
6:00 PM - Let’s call it a day. Ciao!
