Professor Annie Tam Kam-lan is an Honorary Professor of the Faculty of Social Science of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, an Honorary Senior Research Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration of The University of Hong Kong.
Professor Tam served in the HKSAR Government for over 36 years, holding numerous senior positions, including, among others, Permanent Secretary for Labour and Welfare and Director of Lands. She is a registered social worker and is now involved in a wide range of community and social services, serving, among others, as Vice-Chairperson of Connecting Hearts, Chairperson of the Executive Committee of New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, President of Connecting Hearts Academy, President of Hong Kong Social Workers Association, and Appointed Member of Social Workers Registration Board.
