Sylvia ChungDeputy MD, Nina Hospitality /
Director of Corporate Communications, Chinachem Group
Guiding and revitalising the Chinachem and Nina Hospitality brands is the responsibility of Deputy MD and Director of Corporate Communications, Sylvia Chung. Extensive experience in opening, positioning and transitioning Hong Kong hotels are a feature of Sylvia’s career, both during and prior to joining in 2009.
Her milestone work in the late 90’s, participating in the transformation of the legendary Miramar Hotel into the stylish Mira Hong Kong, set a course that she still maintains now. Sylvia, since joining has successfully opened and positioned five hotels for Chinachem, including Nina Hotel Island South, Hong Kong’s first UNESCO GeoPark hotel. Currently, she’s busy leading the brand transformation for the Group alongside her operational tasks.
An enthusiastic supporter of all things Hong Kong, Sylvia has held a large number of roles in community, social, industry, and tourism NGOs and committees. And in 2014, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University presented Sylvia, an MSc graduate from their School of Hotel and Tourism, with their Outstanding Alumni Award.
