We are pleased to present to you a brand new look of the LIFE+ Magazine. In addition to stories centred around our ‘Triple Bottom Line’ – People, Prosperity and Planet, we will bring readers on a journey to explore one local district in each issue. For this edition, we have chosen the very heart of our city – Central.
The breadth and depth of the cultural richness of Central never cease to amaze us. As the developer overseeing the revitalisation of Central Market, we do not regard the historic site as simply a standalone architecture, but rather an integral part of the district. This is why we adopted a holistic approach in the entire conservation process. Since its soft opening last year, the Market has imbued the neighbourhood with vibrancy as it completed the Cultural Triangle concept of the government’s Conserving Central initiative.
With 700+ events held in the first year of operation, the new landmark has welcomed over 12 million visitors of all ages. Thanks to their enthusiasm and the contribution of our dedicated staff, we have successfully brought the “Playground for All” idea, a new purpose given to this heritage building, to life. We also strive to continue its tradition as a hub for commercial activities. For this, we are highly selective in our choices of tenants – only those who share our vision to serve the community, preserve our cultural heritage, and operate their business with an innovative mindset will be invited.
Innovation is a cornerstone of our long-term success, and we understand a stimulating environment is instrumental in facilitating creativity. Not only did we transform our headquarters with a human-centred design to encourage co-creation among staff members, but we also launched our CCG Commons brand to cater to the growing need of a flexible workplace.
Driven by a commitment to maximising our social impact, we exercise our forward-looking thinking in community projects too. In partnership with Habitat for Humanity, we have created much-needed community space for the underprivileged by tapping into underutilised buildings. We have also empowered secondary and tertiary students in various initiatives to materialise their inventive ideas to build a better community. This sense of social responsibility is what we have been nurturing in the younger generation.
Please read on to know more about our dedication in creating shared values for our people, community and planet. I look forward to connecting with you in our ventures.
