Newspapers provide the public with credible and quality news reports and analysis, a vital function that cannot be replaced or superseded by other platforms. Cognizant of the singular role that newspapers play in modern society, Chinachem has, for the second year running, once again sponsored the Best News Page Design (Series) of HK News Awards 2017 given by the Newspaper Society of Hong Kong.

The News Awards is the premiere event held by the Newspaper Society of Hong Kong. Given in recognition of industry members and journalists who excel in the areas of Reporting, Writing, Photography, and Design, the News Awards are also meant to inspire excellence and support the continued growth of a free and unfettered media. A total of 75 awards were given out at this illustrious event.
