Chinachem Sponsors 10,321 People for a Free Visit to Ocean Park

Chinachem Group’s “Ocean Park x Chinachem Group Learning + Fun Day”, with enthusiastic support from 10,321 members of low-income families, came to a successful close on 30 May 2016.

At the Thank-you Luncheon, Mr Sunny Yeung, Executive Director and CEO of Chinachem Group, acknowledged the similar values on service to society and environmental protection which had lead to the collaboration between the Chinachem Group and Ocean Park. Mr. Yeung also commended the campaign’s achievement of such an overwhelming response, and most importantly the participants ability to gain knowledge on the importance of conservation and sustainability during the free educational visits to Ocean Park. The Group’s “Ocean Park x Chinachem Group Learning + Fun Day”, which was organised in collaboration with Ocean Park, was cited as amongst the first 10 highlighted events under “Appreciate Hong Kong”. From 4 January to 31 May 2016, 10,321 people from low-income families, recruited and screened by selected NGOs, were invited to enjoy an edutaining day-out at Ocean Park. Transportation, meals and other administrative expenses were sponsored by the Chinachem Group.

The “Appreciate Hong Kong” campaign was announced in November 2015 with the aim of uniting the community and enabling the public to appreciate different aspects of Hong Kong. With over 400 events launched since January 2016, “Ocean Park x Chinachem Group Learning + Fun Day” has been amongst the top 10 highlights of “Appreciate Hong Kong”.
